Common Travel Questions

Find straightforward answers to key travel topics, from booking tips to packing essentials. If you need more details, our team is ready to help.
  • Billing - Can we get itemized billing?

The ability to itemize costs varies. When we work with our trusted business partners for example, it is not uncommon to see a consolidated price for the entire vacation when different aspects of your trip are bundled together.

Here is why – our trusted business partners often have exclusive relationships that allow them to bundle the different travel components of your trip. This can sometimes result in lower prices, but unfortunately, in these situations even Travel Agents do not have access to the detailed breakdown.

  • Hotels & Lodging - Can we book with AirBnB?

AirBnB does not work with Travel Agents. However, we can find rental apartments/villas/homes almost anywhere in the world through our various business partners.

  • Packing - Are there restrictions for cruises?

Cruise lines often have guidelines on luggage size, prohibited items, and dress codes for certain events.

Review your cruise provider’s packing list to ensure compliance and comfort during your voyage.

  • Packing - What essentials should I pack for international travel?

Pack versatile clothing suited to the climate, travel documents, chargers, and any necessary medications.

Don’t forget adapters for electronics and a compact first-aid kit to stay prepared on the go.

  • Passports & Visas - What do I need?

A valid passport is required for most international trips, along with any necessary visas.

Check destination-specific entry requirements well before departure to avoid last-minute issues.

  • Reservations - Can I modify or cancel my booking?

Change and cancellation policies vary by provider; review terms carefully before booking.

Golden & Co. Travel can assist with modifications and advise on any fees or deadlines involved.

  • Reservations - How early should I book my trip?

Booking 2 to 3 months in advance often secures better rates and availability, especially for popular destinations and peak seasons.

For cruises or all-inclusive resorts, consider booking even earlier to access exclusive offers and preferred accommodations.

  • Steals & Deals - Can we find bargins?

Our goal isn’t just to find the lowest price—it’s to deliver the best value. That means carefully balancing cost with quality, convenience, and experience. Thanks to our trusted relationships with top travel suppliers, we’re often able to unlock exclusive perks and added benefits you won’t find online.

Plus, we’re with you every step of the journey, offering personalized service and support before, during, and after your trip. And while you can’t always put a price on peace of mind, having a dedicated travel expert in your corner when things don’t go as planned? That’s priceless.

  • Travel Insurance - Is it required?

Travel insurance isn’t required but is STRONGLY encouraged. We recommend all travelers have a policy that covers personal liability, trip cancellation, flight delays or missed connections, and emergency medical coverage.

There are several different types of travel insurance plans to choose from. We work with many reputable travel insurance companies and can help you find the right policy for your needs. If opting out of coverage, we require you sign our waiver stating we offered it, we explained the risks, and you’ve chosen not to purchase it.
